What We Do
Volunteers in the Nutrition Center at the Center for Great Apes play a vital role in supporting the daily dietary needs of the apes. Responsibilities include preparing produce, sorting and measuring food items, assembling daily diets based on pre-approved menus, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Volunteers assist staff with dishwashing, sanitizing equipment, and ensuring all food prep areas meet hygiene and safety standards.
